These pictures shown above were suspensions of cardiomyocytes under light microscope, isolated  from rabbit, weighed 4.2 lb. Langendorf perfusion was carried out at 37 C without oxygen equilibration.  The blood cells and hyper-contractured cardiomyocytes were also seen; however, they can be removed by plating cells on laminin-coated plates, followed by medium change after 24 hrs. Rabbit cardiomyocytes can be cultured for at least one week.

• Cell viability > 80%

• Cell yield: 3 ~ 6 x 10⁶ cardiomyocytes / 4 ~ 8 lb rabbit  heart

• Time: One hour
